Other comments:
The Reindeer Inn was a great find – sited opposite the National Mining Museum it was a blast from the past – a 1950’s pub with hunting scene wallpaper, busy floral carpets, wood panelling and ornamentswe last saw in my grandma’s parlour. A little old Yorkshire lady kept us in order and did the serving.  The beer was good too, meeting everyone tastes.   pub piped music kept us well entertained, with a play list from the 1950’s and 60’s streaming out old favourites from the pre-Beatles era – Lonnie Donnegan, Brenda Lee, Connie Francis, Tornados, Searchers etc. Name That Tune had nothing on us – our team of Old Men got most of the songs and singers, only having to resort to Shazam a few times! A memorable place!  A SAD LOSS NOW IT IS CLOSED!
