Walk Description: From the Huntsman Pub walk 400m along the A635 and turn lrft at the first lane junction. Where the lane turns left take the track to the right. Turn left through a gate just before Upper Knowl Farm and descend to a stony track running E-W (Nether Lane). Follow this to the right past Goodbent shooting lodge. Continue up the track after it takes a sharp right turn to reach the A635. Cross over (carefully!) and take the track opposite (Magdalen Road) which descends towards Meltham, hopefully with extensive views. Shortly before Royd Farm take the signed path left through a gate and follow it down past the derelict farm at Royd. Shortly after look out for the sneaky sharp right turn down to a small stream crossing. Ascend to Sun Royd Farm and follow the track down Royd Edge to a small road junction shortly after the cemetery. Turn right, follow the path to the lane then the lane itself to the left.  After a few metres take the track on the right (Harden Hill Road). At a small stile on the right (woods opposite) follow paths south across the fields to enter picturesque Harden Clough.  At the top of the Clough, where the pub is in sight, it is necessary to take a path on the right behind the large houses then turn left to meet the road back to the pub.
