Walk Description: From the Beaumonth Arms pub turn left, walk up Henry Fredrick Avenue and imeadiately turn  left up a path before the first house to a track running behind the pub and across the fields towards South Crosland. The track comes out onto Midway road. Follow this road and turn off south west down a track just before the junction with Sandy Lane. On reaching another track Turbid Lane, turn right and walk on until reaching School Road. Turn left and then right, up a road passing Moor End Farm. On reaching Hadden Farm, turn right along the road passing Crossland Moor Airfield, on the left. Continue along this road heading north east, crossing Sandy Lane, and along a track passed a quarry site. On reaching Nether Moor Road, turn left northwards.  After 100m turn right along an easterly track passing a housing estate on the left and after 50m enter Round Wood on a track that eventually crosses Butternab Road into Beaumont Park. Keep to the higher left side path heading northwards through the Park. Admire the views across the valley overlooking Stirley Farm and Castle Hill.  At the northern end of the park turn right and come back along the lower path through Beaumont Park along the old disused railway line.  Come out of the park onto Butternab Road,  following the road round to the left across Big Valley until it reachs the B6128 Meltham Road. From there, cross the road and, about 50m before wood End Road junction, take the track on the right through Old Spring Wood. Follow the track south along side the  gardens of the houes on the right backing onto the wood. On reaching Bank Foot Lane, cross over and walk along the track between the houses on the right and the open field on the left to join the Holme Valley Circular Walk. Follow this path southwards into the wood, and eventullay emerge onto Hawksroyd Bank Road with open fields on either side. Carry on along this road eventually reaching Sandbeds road at the end of Magdale. We leave the HVCW here, turning left along Sandbeds.  On reaching Netherton Moor Road, carry straight on along the track behind Hincliffes Farm Shop complex, through Spring Wood along Netherton Bank towards Hill Top. Enjoy the views across the valley from here and then take Corn Bank road north west to join Lea Lane.  Turn left at the junction with Farm Fold Farm Lane, and imediately turn right  along a track to the Meltham Road. Turn left here and walk back 100m to the end of the walk at the Beaumont Arms pub on the right.
